FormatException: Input string was not in a correct format.] when adding a property to a document type

    Hi :)

I've created my first Umbraco web site, but have stumbled upon an error I don't see how to get around. I created a new document type, HomePage, and tried adding a new property "headline" (textstring). When saving that property I get the following exception:

    enter image description here

It is a fresh installation (newest version installed via nuget) so I haven't been messing around with anything. Any ideas on what might be wrong?

edit: It might be worth mentioning that I'm running Windows in a VM on my Mac (Parallels). I tried the same on my work computer(all Windows), and it worked without problems. I even pushed the code to bitbucket, went back to my Mac and cloned the repo -> yet, still error on saving the document type after adding a property.

I have the same problem: both on Win 8 dev machine, and Win 2012 VM.

I fixed it temporarily by uninstalling and re-installing umbraco (latest version) from nuget... but it came back after a while.

This bug makes umbraco totally unusable ... can't create or edit doc types.

Has anybody found a cause, solution or workaround for this?

OK, I just upgraded again using nuget... to umbraco 7.4.1

That seems to have fixed the problem.
